The X-Tex Heavy Finnfill undersuit is made of a technical four-layer material that is breathable, elastic and waterproof.
The insulation layer of the suit is Finnfill fiber and the intermediate layer is breathable and waterproof X-Tex® film.
The top layer is made of elastic knitted fabric and the inner layer is made of comfortable and warm fleece. Finnfill fiber has been developed in cooperation with international research institutes and polymer manufacturers.
The structure of Finnfill thermal insulation is unique and its cohesive element is located in the weft in the middle of the fibers, to which the insulation fibers adhere. As a result, it is an extremely flexible, airy and particularly durable insulation.
The difference with traditional nonwoven pads is crucial:
- Finnfill does not clump, flake or decompose even after years of use.
- Finnfill can withstand countless washes without sacrificing insulation.
When Finnfill insulation is laminated to a breathable and waterproof film, the fleece lining and polyester-based outer surface create an entity that moves undersuit to a new era. The insulation of an X-Tex Finnfill suit is measured by the international Clo unit, which tells you the true insulation of the fabric. The Clo value in the Heavy model is 1.97. The waterproof and breathable structure of the suit material is patented. The suit has e.g. ventilation holes in the armpits and for diving in the left arm, a double-zipped front zipper, a zipped chest pocket, bigger thigh pockets, elastic at the collar, cuffs and ankles, and a sturdy waist elastic.
Thumb loops on the sleeves and elastic bands on the legs makes it easier to put on, preventing the sleeves or legs from rising up during dressing.
