Rescue Diver Course

The Rescue Diver course gives you the skills to dive even more safely, taking into account the safety and well-being of your fellow divers even better. You will learn to anticipate and evaluate situations and places with new eyes: minimizing possible dangerous situations and risks is definitely the most important aspect of the course.

The subject areas of the Rescue Diver course are of course serious, but training can and should be fun. Many have praised the RD course as one of the most rewarding courses in their diving career, and for good reason. The exercises are practical and there will be many repetitions of the most important skills to be mastered - the skills practiced in the course are really ones that you can't master too well!

The course includes:

• E-learning theory

• Depending on the implementation, either one full long day of open water exercises OR an open water period divided into e.g. two afternoons/evenings at nearby destinations (daylight permitting)

In the course you will learn, among other things: risk management and prevention, assessment of the diving site from the above point of view, you will learn to manage and organize emergency situations, we will search for a missing diver in a simulated manner and practice searching for lost objects.

You will notice that the key to success lies in calmness and orderliness: STOP - (breathe) - THINK - ACT.

Course prerequisites:

• PADI AOWD, SSI or other equivalent rating level from another organization

• At least 12 years of age

• 24 months or previously completed EFR / EA 1 / EA 2 level course (note! you can also choose from the options a course where the First Course is included in the price)

We are happy to recommend the EFR Emergency First Responder course, which includes emergency first aid and first aid follow-up procedures. Naturally, we also focus on providing first aid for diving accidents in the course.

Those who successfully complete all aspects of the course are classified as a Rescue Diver, for which you will of course receive a card.
